APMSRB Assistant Professor 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

(1) Assistant Professor (Clinical and Non-Clinical) -

Candidates must possess a PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC.

(2) Assistant Professor (Super Specialty) -

Candidates must possess a PG Degree (DNB/DrNB/DM/MCh) in the concerned super specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC.

Age Limit:

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 42 years

DME AP Recruitment Pay Scale

Candidates selected for the Assistant Professor position will be paid a monthly salary ranging from Rs.68,900 to 2,05,500 as per the 7th UGC pay scale approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. In addition to the basic pay and applicable allowances, candidates appointed to super-specialty departments will receive an additional Rs. 30,000 per month.

APMSRB Assistant Professor 2026 How to Apply

Eligible and interested candidates must apply online only for the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Andhra Pradesh website at dme.ap.nic.in. The online application process will be open from 08th January 2026 to 22th January 2026. Applicants are required to register using a valid mobile number and email ID, fill in all the details carefully, upload the scanned copies of required certificates in PDF format, and pay the prescribed application fee through the online payment gateway. After successful submission, an application number will be generated, which should be saved for future reference.

APMSRB Recruitment Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted entirely on the basis of merit. The total selection process will be out of 100 marks, of which 75 marks are allotted for the qualifying examination. Up to 10 marks will be given as weightage based on the number of years elapsed since obtaining the postgraduate or super-specialty degree, and an additional 5 marks will be awarded to candidates who have completed their postgraduate or super-specialty degree from a central institution. Further weightage will be given for eligible contractual service, including COVID-19 duty and services rendered in tribal, rural, or urban areas, subject to the submission of valid certificates. The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained by the candidates.
